POEKS is a Melbourne based DJ from Berlin who is running his gramophones on homemade plum brandy. The result is a hot selection of Jazz, Funk, Afro-beat, Latin, Cumbia, Calypso and Reggae, combinig the sound of wild rhythms and powerful brass sections with great soloists and improvisations.
During the Performance the acoustic audio signal is beeing sensed from vinylplates, pre-amplified, mixed, amplified and finally transmitted to the audience via high quality sound system.
Poeks is a founding member and guitarist of the Berlin based Electronic Swing Orchestra and the Melbourne based band Mount Kujo. He played gigs in Berlin, London, Melbourne, Lissabon, Paris, Kopenhagen and Berlin.
